Update: Kitchen Nightmares USA, first airdate changed!

Posted by Michael on Saturday, August 11th, 2007

While I previously reported about the first airdate of Kitchen Nightmares USA, it seems that FOX has already changed its schedule. The show is now scheduled to premiere on FOX on Wednesday, September 19 (instead of Thursday, September 13). The move takes Ramsay’s new show out of the already uber-competitive Thursday night time period that is home to CBS and ABC’s top-rated CSI and Grey’s Anatomy dramas.

According to a previous interview with Gordon, he visited 10 restaurants, of which 4 in Los Angeles. Which means we’ll get to enjoy 10 episodes!

So I am watching the new Kitchen Nightmares in the US. Apart from playing up every horrible ‘American Italian steroid fuelled meat head Long Island Guido’ stereotype I am glad that he showed the food up for what it was… crappy Italian. Living in NJ I come across so many ‘Italians’ who say that this restaurant or this reaturant is great. 95% of the time they are awful serving pre-made tasteless rubbish. Perhaps one reaturant will see this program and think to themselves they can do better and serve some fresh decent Italian food.
BTW what a horrible group of ignorent people they chose for the first program. A real disgrace.
